Acupuncture has been used for at least two and a half thousand years to restore, promote and maintain good health.

It can be used for specific symptoms, e.g. nausea during pregnancy and back pain.

Also, it is used more generally, e.g. for low energy or general support during pregnancy and after giving birth. It is suitable for all ages and can be used alongside conventional medicine. Needles are sterile and disposable.

Chinese Medical Massage (Tui Na)

Tui Na is a deeply penetrating massage therapy provided within the Traditional Chinese Medical system. It can be combined with virtually any other treatment you may be having to increase mobility and lessen pain.

It works both on the muscles and joints as well as stimulating acupuncture points to rebalance the energy/Qi throughout the meridians and energy system.

The massage is usually administered through light clothing. Occasionally oil is used on specific areas, depending on the problem.

This is a form of heat treatment where moxa stimulates specific acupuncture points or warms larger areas on the body, such as a shoulder.

The herb smoulders and the heat radiates into the point/area. Various shapes of moxa are used.

The heat expels the cold and warms the meridians. This leads to a improved flow of energy and blood.

It can also be used for breech babies where moxa  relax the muscles in the uterus which can allow allow the baby to turn.
